Up North with the kids

Just so you have something else to look at...

Yes, I know it's October.

Well for my sister who apparently checks this "everyday" I guess I can throw her a bone. You might be the only one Mary, so I don't know what else you don't know...nothing new to tell. Sam had me up from 1am until 4am. He didn't want to sleep in his bed, he was hungry, he had to go potty, etc. I thought I was going to cry since I went to bed so exhausted. Today we're going to the cabin...leaving sometime this afternoon. We were going to come home Saturday night so we didn't have to miss church two weeks in a row but Dan really wants to stay until Sunday. I know when I'm up there I won't want to come back just yet either. The weeks are the same, work, preschool, bible study. My anniversary is on Monday, but Dan got invited to play in a card tournament. I told him he could go since I'll probably just be watching Dancing with the stars anyway! Maybe we'll take the kids out to eat first...Mexican Village is our usual since the kids like it too. My birthday is in two weeks and we all know how much I love my birthday. It's on a Monday so I'll have bible study at my house in the morning. We're going to the Matthew West concert again...this time in St. Cloud. It's next Sunday and my mom got tickets from 92.9 and she knows we like him. Well, that's what I know. I have to go the dentist today and I am not looking forward to it. Have a good weekend!

Sam's first Twins game

We went to the twins game last night with our friends Brent and Tricia and their son Eli, who's a friend of Sam's. Afterwards there was a Matthew West concert. It was so good and the game was a lot of fun. They lost 6-4 but were up most of the game. In the bottom of the ninth the twins were down by two, bases loaded, two outs and Justin Morneau was up. We thought for sure it would be an exciting win, but he got out. It was still fun. Between the concert and game Bob and Larry were there so the kids got pictures with them.

Looking for a new post?

Maybe not. Sorry I have not been good about updating. Not too much new here and I haven't taken any new pictures, I'm terrible about that. But I DID take the kids to David last week or so to get their pictures taken. I had a really hard time picking which ones as usual. You watch your kids squirm, not cooperate, not smile for the camera and then you look at the proofs and think "How did he get so many good pictures?" I wish I could just leave the video camera on the kids all day. There interaction with each other is quite humurous at times and sweet. Sam is so good to Hannah. Right now he just tried to hug her and she pushed him away. I try to tell him she just doesn't like to be hugged all the time, but that doesn't stop his efforts. She does adore him. I was in the living room reading this morning and I hear Hannah wake up and come to the stairs. She yells up "BOY!" (short for Sammy Boy I'm guessing) and he goes running from my lap and they get down to business playing. They ask for each other right when they wake up (just before asking for Dan) or maybe he asks and she demands. Sam came out to the living room at 6:00 this morning and the first words out of him mouth are "can I go wake up Hannah". Every morning he asks this. Just a little bit ago she was knocking on the window yelling "Hi Gordon" and he says "Hannah that's enough you're hurting my ears" He came to tell me about it and I missed the first part of what he said so I said "what?" He said, "Nevermind. It's old now." If she doesn't come him to him when he calls her name I'll hear very sternly "Hannah, Hannah come her. Hannah, 1...2...Hannah do you want a spanking?" But right now they're having fun (Sam just said, Hannah, isn't this fun?) Sam told me his favorite thing about Hannah was her attitude (keep in mind this is his favortie word and will use it wherever possible) and he said she's funny. So I'm very grateful they love each other and that Sam is already wanting to be helpful!

Lost Photos

Dad was able to get the pictures off of my broken camera, so here are a few from John and Jaynee's wedding (from June).

Some Recent Photos

Here are some recent photos. I had Jen's girls over last week. So I took some of Paige and Hannah. Can't remember where the two older ones were (don't worry...I knew at the time). Loyal race fans sitting out in the HOT weather (John, Jaynee, Dianne, Helen and the kids)
Sam had his first soccer practice last night. They got jerseys but apparently Sam didn't care if he wore his. He was still confused when we left as to why he was there. He is looking forward to going again. Water break
Little fan with pink cheeks, it was so hot! She tried to run on the field a couple of times.
